Art for relaxation

Combining my art education with my training in teaching mindfulness I offer a calm space in which you can create with a playful and curious approach. There is a focus on the sensations and present moment experience of the making process rather than on creating a ‘finished’ piece of art work… so there is no pressure. 

Creating in this way can regulate the nervous system helping us experience a more relaxed state and all of the health benefits that come with that, such as;

  • Reduced heart rate

  • Lower blood pressure

  • Calmer, more positive mind and emotional state

  • Better sleep

  • Reduced muscle tension and, therefore, pain

  • Better digestion

I have 12 years experience of facilitating for both adults and children, neurotypical and non-neurotypical.

Sessions can be 1 to 1 or in small groups for adults and/or children and are based in my art room in West Berkshire between Newbury and Reading.
